P/MOD is a collaboration of sound- and video-artists from Vienna, Austria exploring the advanced interactive possiblities of producing LIVE assembled motion pictures.

We are/were shifting our way of planning and producing motion pictures and video clips from just static pre-produced clips being banned mainly to cinematic and broadband environments only, to a more dynamic production, playing and performing approach. We cross-link and -reference our constantly increasing know-how in using and developing specific filming and editing methods, audio and video software, MIDI Signals, video control modules, hardware interfaces, live audio and other live inputs, to communicate, control and change time, effects, edits, sounds, etc. of the project's timeline in many ways while building / assembling / playing the Video- and Audio-Timeline LIVE on stage.

This method gives us the power to play our projects in almost any environment like clubs, theaters, public places, exhibitions, festivals or galleries while still having the possibility to change, lengthen, shorten any part of the timeline on basis of for example the 'mood of the local audience' during the live set. Additionally each live performance of an project won't be exactly the same, as major built in control modules like random functions, midi patterns, effect objects, timeline objects and others remain still under live control of the artists and/or working as a almost autarkic system controlled by a few master midi- and/or audio-signals.

Additionally we provide each project as limited hi-quality DVD Box, containing a DVD of the final version of the individual project based on best parts of previous studio sessions, booklet, additional audio cd with bonus tracks, stickers, a poster and a T-Shirt (items included varying).

Our first DVD Box 'PAN1C/MODE' will be released in mid 2004. More info coming soon.
