| Freedom: Piratebay's response to DreamWorks
After they got a threatning letter from DreamWork's lawyers, the Torrent-site Pirate Bay responded with the linked mail. My favourite quote: 'It is the opinion of us and our lawyers that you are fucking morons...' Hehehe !! Excellent !

| Site tip: Security jokes from Micro$oft
For those of you still using IE, the Beast has put together some security tips. - Those include such useful things as 'Do not click any hyperlinks that you do not trust. Type them in the Address bar yourself.' or 'Make sure that the Web site uses Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS)...'
Hahahaha !!!! Well, in case M$ puts down that site, I've saved a PDF of the website, just for historic purposes. Ah, and here's my security tip for you: Use Mozilla !

| Freedom: Micro$oft tries to patent XML-docs
Everyone was surprised when M$ decided to open up and switch to standards-based XML document formats for its Office suite. And actually I was starting to get worried (Is the beast not so evil anymore ??) But now everything is back to normal, as this patent application shows. So it seems that M$ is trying to lock out those nasty OpenSource Office suites like Koffice or OpenOffice ? - Well why doesn't that surprise me....

| Film tip: Are you a Tetris crack ?
Come on, everybody played Tetris at some stage. You think, you're good at it ? Well, you'd better watch this guy and ask yourself again. - It's unbelievable ! I for myself think that the guy at the arcade is a Jedi. No human could react that fast. Hmmm. After watching again. Yep, he's a Jedi !
Hint: If the video doesn't open right away, download it using right-click and 'Save as'. (Should be obvious, but for the Window$ users. Hehehe.)

That's a growth of 40% during the year 2003. - In the same time period Micro$oft's IIS lost about 100.000 sites. - This gives a total of 67% for Apache and 21% for IIS. Yay !! Open Source rulez !!!

| Film tip: PingPong - Matrix style
Screencap from japanese TV showing a bunch of people playing Pingpong the Matrix style. Really fantastic 'special'-effects. The only thing that bothers me is that the video is pretty small in size and the quality is poor, therefore I didn't want to mess around anymore to convert it to a more convenient format. Linux/Mac guys should be able to play it with Mplayer. - It's fun to watch, I swear !

| Freedom: Apache runs 2/3 of the Internet
According to Netcraft, our beloved webserver, Apache now runs more than two thirds of the internet sites. During the last months when Apache gained more than 5%, the M$-alternative, IIS lost about the same number of sites. Yay!

| Film tip: Die Helden von Bern
A great movie clip made completely by animating little Lego figures. It shows the football play Germany vs. Hungary during the world championship in Switzerland. A must see for every footbal fan.
I personally am not so much of a sports fan but that one's really the best Lego animation I've ever seen.

| Site tip: New about:mozilla in version 1.5rc1 ?
And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced. But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird. The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire and thunder upon them. For the beast had been reborn with its strength renewed, and the followers of Mammon cowered in horror.

| Freedom: Fight software patents
Now is the last chance to vote for a Europe without software patents. Read here why you don't want patents. Ah ! - and *just* on the subject: Some bloody stupid court in London is trying to show us that apps programmed in different languages but doing something in a similar way could cause a patent infringement. Just think of M$-Word and OpenOffice if you like. - Or can we already patent ideas ?

| Freedom: SCO group to shoot babies !!!
Lindon, UT - The SCO Group announced the launch of a campaign to shoot 1% of all babies born in the US.
'Statistically, 1% of all people are Linux users. Rather than have these young hoodlums grow up without any respect for our intellectual property, we have chosen to nip it in the bud, as it were,' said SCO's CEO, Darl McBride....
